Library Book Sale and Crafting Workshop
When: Saturday, May 2, 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Where: Salida Regional Library
The Salida Regional Library is hosting its Spring Book Sale, offering a wide selection of books for all ages. Payments can be made via cash or check. Concurrently, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, children aged 4-12 can participate in ‘Crafting Around the World,’ creating art inspired by South Korea. No registration is required for the crafting session.
Made in Chaffee Conference

Where: SteamPlant Event Center
Designed to support the region’s vibrant creative economy, the ‘Made in Chaffee’ conference provides practical tools, relevant resources, and meaningful connections for creatives at all stages, from those just starting out to established professionals looking to grow.
Middle School Trivia
When: Tuesday, May 5, 4:15 PM – 5:15 PM
Where: Salida Regional Library
Middle school students are invited to test their knowledge at the library’s trivia event. Participants can form teams or join one upon arrival. Snacks and prizes will be provided.
Lunch & Learn – Museum Series
When: Thursday, May 7, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Where: Salida Regional Library
In collaboration with The Salida Museum, the library presents a series exploring local history. Enjoy a meal while learning about the unique stories that shape our community. Registration is required for this 18+ event.

Salida’s music scene is vibrant this month with several performances:
